ISBE Numeracy Plan
(Pre K-12)
This asynchronous professional learning course introduces educators to the vision, framework, and instructional priorities of the Illinois Comprehensive Numeracy Plan. Participants will explore the essential components of numeracy, including conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic competence, adaptive reasoning, productive disposition, and mathematical discourse. Through engaging learning modules, reflection activities, and application opportunities, educators will examine evidence-based mathematics practices, ways to support a cohesive K–12 continuum of learning, and strategies for creating equitable learning experiences that empower all students as confident mathematical thinkers.
