Frequently asked questions
What is the Anytime Learning Library?
The Anytime Learning Library (ALL) was developed by the Boone-Winnebago Regional Office of Education (ROE 4) to address the need for quality, virtual professional learning for educators and school staff members. We develop self-paced, online courses that address a variety of relevant educational topics, including: academics, social-emotional learning, classroom management, educational technology, etc.
What is LearnWorlds?
LearnWorlds is the learning management system that we use to facilitate our courses. When you purchase a course, you will enter the LearnWorlds course player to access your materials, submit assignments, and interact with other members of the course.
What is taking a course like? How do I progress through the course?
We encourage you to visit our page "Taking a Course" to learn more about the user experience. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to lkeith@roe4.org.
I'm not very "techy." Are these courses still for me?
Our courses are designed to be user-friendly for a wide variety of technology skills. You will always have a course facilitator to help you troubleshoot tech questions as well. We have been told from many of our participants that the courses are easy to navigate, and that our facilitators are able to work with any level of tech competency.
What will I need to be successful in your courses?
You will need a computer and a stable internet connection. We also recommend having a Google account to complete assignments on Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc. You may be asked in your course to download documents as pdfs, get a sharable link in a Google Doc, record yourself, etc., but you will not be asked to do anything requiring advanced technology or software skills. You will also need to take note of and adhere to your course deadline. See "how long do I have to complete a course" for more information.
How long do I have to complete my course?
You will have 60 days from the point of successful payment. We would recommend calculating your exact completion date and taking note of this. We also recommend finishing about one week in advance, just in case you need to troubleshoot anything with your facilitator.
Do I need a PayPal account to pay for courses?
No. When you navigate to the payment page, you will be asked to provide your debit or credit card information. At that point, you can choose to set up a PayPal account, but you do not have to. Just continue with your payment as usual.
Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds for purchased courses. We cannot process refunds for not completing the course in the allotted amount of time. Please read all course details and descriptions closely before choosing to purchase courses.
I'm having issues with a resource, link, assignment, etc. What do I do?
Please locate your facilitator's information in the "Course Onboarding" section of your course. Sending them an email describing the specific nature of your problem will help them with troubleshooting your issue. We also have the ability to log in as you to see what issues you are encountering -- however, we will get permission from you before doing so.
How do I get my PDHs?
Your PDHs will be awarded after you successfully complete all readings, assignments, quizzes, etc. Your course facilitator will grade your final assignment, unlocking the "Completing the Course" module. This will give you further instructions to download your PDHs. Note that we cannot award partial PDHs for partial completion of the course.
I finished my course, but I never got my PDHs?
If you still have access to the course, and your course facilitator has graded all submitted assignments, please navigate to the "Completing Your Course" module of your class. If you no longer have access, our facilitators can check that you successfully completed all materials and send you the necessary evaluation and PDHs. Please contact your facilitator if you feel this is the case.
How do I get graduate credit for a course?
First, make sure that the course you signed up for has gradate credit available. It will indicate this on the course home page, as well as within the "Course Onboarding" module of your course. If your course does offer graduate credit, you will need to register and pay with our partnering university, the University of St. Francis (USF), and complete additional coursework. Note that you will need to successfully complete all requirements of your ROE 4/Anytime Learning Library course, as well as meet the requirements of USF to earn your graduate credits.
I am an administrator looking to enroll a large group. How would I do that?
We are happy to talk about bulk registrations with you. Please contact us at plcoordinators@roe4.org to discuss your options and get your team registered.
I have a question not answered in the FAQ!
If you are currently enrolled in a course, and it is a question about your specific course, please contact your course facilitator. For all other inquiries, please contact lkeith@roe4.org. Thank you!
