Social-Emotional learning meets self-care

Ready to connect the dots between CASEL's social-emotional tenants and self-care techniques? Explore how cultivating emotional intelligence in your students aligns harmoniously with nurturing your own resilience and balance. Through an exploration of CASEL's five core competencies—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making—this course is designed to empower you both in the classroom and on your personal journey.  Here, your well-being takes center stage as we guide you through strategies, practices, and practical habits to move towards wellness.
Studies have found that adults who can recognize, understand, label, express, and regulate their own emotions...
  • Positively contribute to the school’s overall climate
  • More effectively teach and model social-emotional competence for their students
  • Demonstrate higher levels patience and empathy, encourage healthy communication, and create safe learning environments
  • Are less likely to report burnout and have higher levels of relational trust with their peers at work, which lays a foundation for productive collaboration
